Our Story

Three Generations,
One Kitchen

Hayward Family Restaurant began when the Hayward family decided that the northwoods deserved a place where meals were made the old way — from scratch, with real ingredients, and served without rushing.

What started as a small breakfast counter has grown into the kind of restaurant where regulars know the staff by name, where the coffee never goes cold, and where every guest is treated like family.

We source our eggs from local farms, our coffee is roasted right here in Wisconsin, and our fish comes from the lake just 20 minutes away. That's not marketing — that's just how we do things.
